The Early Intervention Centre (EIC) at Children First focuses on children between the ages of 2-6 years. The emphasis on early intervention arises from the understanding that during early years, the brain is more neuro-plastic and thus, younger children benefit immensely from targeted but intensive work on skills that are not being learnt innately.
This programme is ideal for children with early indicators of developmental differences and delays, or diagnosis of developmental disorders, like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Delays, Down Syndrome, Social Pragmatics Disorder, etc.
The sessions are 1.5 to 2 hours each time
The child attends 3 or 5 days a week
Occupational therapy, foundation skills, language communication work, group work and parenting along with regular, psychiatric consults for each child.
